Description
PTFE film adhesive tape is produced from a skived PTFE film or extruded PTFE film coated with pressure sensitive silicone adhesive. The basic film provides smooth and non-stick surface, high tensile strength , low elongation and high dielectric strength. This tape is self adhesive and easy to bond other materials. The tape is ideally suited for the manufacture of high temperature seals, insulators and bearings used in semiconductor, aerospace and chemical processing industries.
Extruded PTFE film tape(High modulus PTFE tape) looks the same as skived PTFE film tape when they are rolled, but it lies flatter than typical skived PTFE film tapes when peel off, the tape resists curling during unwind. Usually, skived PTFE film tape has an elongation of 300%, while extrusionPTFEfilm tape has an elongation of less than 50%.So,High modulus PTFE tape has less elongation and greater tensile strength than plain skived PTFE film tape.
