Description

PTFE coated glass cloth tape is not inherently waterproof. While PTFE itself has excellent water resistance and does not absorb water, the woven glass cloth backing used in the tape can be permeable to water.

In applications where water resistance or protection against moisture is crucial, additional measures such as sealing the edges of the tape or using specialized waterproofing products may be necessary. These steps can help improve the tape’s overall water resistance.
